Lil’ Flip was a no-show at his scheduled court hearing this morning, stemming from gun and drug possession charges and now has a warrant out for his arrest.

According to TMZ, the rapper, who was pulled over Christmas night for speeding when cops discovered an AR-15 and marijuana in the car, claims he had no idea about the hearing and has his lawyer straightening out the situation.

Flip also took a moment to proclaim his innocence in the case, telling TMZ he only had tobacco in the car and has a license for the assault rifle.

In December, Freddie Gibbs announced his departure from Young Jeezy’s CTE label. With little word on what lead to the split, Gibbs revealed in an interview with The Morning Riot that it was anything but amicable.

“I can’t really say it was amicable. I could just say that we agreed to disagree. We definitely disagreed,” Gibbs told The Morning Riot. “The guy moves in a different way that I move, and I just wanted to branch out and do my own thing. I felt like I was wasting time pushing someone else’s brand when I could push my own and do my own thing. Because that’s was what he was concerned with, pushing Jeezy. So I gotta be concerned with pushing Gibbs.”

Gibbs went on to say the business aspect wasn’t being handled correctly at CTE, and he felt he wasn’t being given what he was promised by Jeezy.

“If we doing things in the street and you do me bogus, it might end up with you getting handled. So since we not in the street, you feel like you can play with my money on this Rap side and there ain’t gon’ be no repercussions? Nah man. You not gon’ play with me like that. So to nip all of that in the bud, I just stepped off and did my thing.”

A free agent, Gibbs is currently working on his upcoming EP, The Tonite Show with Freddie Gibbs, slated to releases later this year.

Almost four years ago Fabolous released his last studio album, Loso’s Way. And while the wait has been long, he’s back and gearing up to debut the highly anticipated sequel, Loso’s Way 2. To kick off the new project, Fabolous recently leaked the cover art for the LP’s first single, “Ready,” featuring Chris Brown. The track is said to be officially released tomorrow, January 17.

Fat Joe (legal name Joseph Cartagena) plead guilty to tax evasion this morning in a New Jersey federal court.

According to TMZ, the rapper, known for such hits as “What’s Luv” and “Lean Back,” allegedly failed to pay $700,000 in income taxes between 2007 and 2008.

Following the plea, Joe was released on a $250,000 bond, and scheduled to receive his sentencing in April. He could face up to two years in prison.
